On October 5, 2017, Mayor Bill DeBlasio appointed Charles DeStefano, Esq. to Chair the Mayors Committee on City Marshal.  This committee is empowered to review and screen all applicants who desire to become a New York City Marshal.  The Committee consists of city-wide members of the Bar whose role is to vet applicants and report its findings to the Mayor of the City of New York.
